News Teaser from "The Daily Edition" 8/15-18/2008 - Local charged with theft from company
A Loudon man was charged with theft after he allegedly used a checking account belonging to his employer to pay his cell phone bill in a telephone transaction.
Ricky L. Everett, 46, of Maple Hills Lane, Loudon was charged with theft of property over $500.
According to the warrant, filed by Deputy Paul Curtis, LCSD; on or about June 27, 2008 Ricky L. Everett did commit the offense of theft of property over $500 by depriving the victim of $670.
Bank records indicate the Verizon wireless phone bill belonging to Ricky Everett was paid via a telephone transaction from the checking account belonging to the victim.
Ricky Everett did have access to the information necessary to make the transaction from the checking account from being previously employed through the company and receiving compensation from that same account.
Deputy Mike Williams, LCSD made the arrest.
